lise barkas / yann leguay
bagpipe - hurdy gurdy / turntable - oscillator
Acetylene comes from an underground exploration in the cavities of Lyon, at the end of a tunnel where the sound of the bagpipes was placed on the minimal rhythm of a record player looped on itself. Lise Barkas and Yann Leguay come together around a vinyl turntable, a hurdy-gurdy, a bagpipe and an oscillator to unfold primitive rhythms on traditional motifs and well beyond. Rotations, drones, whirlings, and intertwined chaos construct a noisy and harmonic trance.
